Volkswagen: Golf Plus, Proximity London (Advertising Agency)
The brief was to translate supplied photographs into a comfy textile for photographing. Using a mixture of hand painted fabrics the images were recreated with layers of padding under crazy hand patchwork which was embellished with hand embroidery.
The cars were made using computer embroidery on silk organza which allowed for the windows. The VW and Golf logos and text were made larger and dropped in post production. The panels were a great project to work on, a rare one where various techniques came together. It was an award winning campaign in 2009.
